Happy New Year

We have now celebrated just over two year's with Scooby and what a FAB time it has been!

Many of our adventures have been posted on this Blog - a new venture for us that we only started at the end of August 2012. We have thoroughly enjoyed documenting our adventures and we have been amazed by the number of views our Blog has received from all over the world.

We would like to thank all of you who have read our Tales with Scooby and we doo hope you will come back in 2013 when we have posted some more!

Happy New Year to one and all.

A New Forest Adventure

It has become a tradition in the Scooby household to go to the New Forest in Hampshire after Christmas, but before the New Year. This started before Scooby joined our family and it now continues with him! This year we kept an eye on the weather forecast and checking it again on Boxing Day it looked as though Thursday 27th December 2012 was the best day for this Day Out. Whilst it was forecast to be wet in the morning by lunch time it was clearing up with sunny periods in the afternoon. So we packed Scooby up ready for our trip on 27th December - taking boots and wet weather gear just in case.

The little circuit we used on this trip is explained using the map at the end of this Blog - we stopped at various points along the way, but we parked at Brock Hill (close to item no. 5 on the map) for most of the day - as shown in these selections of pics.

We were parked at the above by around mid to late morning so a coffee and some Christmas 'goodies' were enthusiastically consumed. Well, there was some very fine rain coming down so what else could we doo except have some Scooby Snax!

In between the light showers we had a little walk, but headed back to Scooby for an early lunch so we could make the best of the afternoon when it was supposed to dry up and have sunny intervals. After our turkey lunch the rain did indeed stop as forecast and so we went for a long circular walk that would bring us back to Scooby.

We were very fortunate with the weather, as hopefully the pictures will show, we had blue sky and sunshine all afternoon. Making our walk most pleasant.

The following pics were taken at various locations during the walk, which provide an 'in sight' to our afternoon.

No trip to the New Forest would be complete without a pic of a pony, so here is one Scooby managed to snap without disturbing him too much.

As the sun was sinking lower in the sky we made our way back to Scooby for 'afternoon tea' and some more Scooby Snax. What a FAB afternoon and a welcome sight of warm winter sun.

We took a few more Scooby Snaps and decided we would head off to Lyndhurst to look at the Christmas lights - we doo like Lyndhurst.

We had a FAB time in the New Forest - Thanks Scooby for another great Day Out - our last for 2012!

For many more Scooby Snaps of our New Forest Adventure just click on the photo montage link below - click the box at the bottom right for a Full Screen view. As an added bonus, after the New Forest pics the photo montage goes on to illustrate how Lyndhurst looked that afternoon at around 4.30pm.

We turn off the M27 at junction 1, turning right on to the B3078, then turning off towards Fritham. Near to the Longbeech Campsite we turn off right towards Linwood on a fairly straight road before coming to a tee junction. We turn left at this junction and go under the A31 before taking the right fork to the Deer Sanctuary and then on to Rhinefield Ornamental Drive. We continued on this road, crossing the A35 before parking at Brock Hill (close to item no. 5 on the map) for most of the day. We headed home via Lyndhurst, then back to the motorway.
